We are thrilled to announce that Wild Earth Allies (formerly known as Fauna & Flora International, Inc.) recently earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency — the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar. We are proud to operate with a lean structure, and a solid commitment to optimism, cultural respect, shared learning and integrity, an approach we can now share with even greater transparency on our new GuideStar profile.
Wild Earth Allies is proud to have been recognized by Charity Navigator with a 4-star rating for many years. As the leading independent evaluator of nonprofits in the United States, Charity Navigator reserves 4-star ratings for organizations that exceed industry standards. Charity Navigator and GuideStar recently announced a new collaboration to provide information about charity results, insights, and outcomes. The Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information, will soon be cross-posted on our Charity Navigator profile.
The recent award from GuideStar recognizes our ongoing commitment to transparency about our financials, program work and impact in the field. For Wild Earth Allies, protecting the natural world is a decades-long investment and commitment. We work closely with our program partners and communities to track the results of our programs.
We believe conservation can be accelerated through these collaborative partnerships, and that together we can encourage the sort of exchange and learning that drives improved practice and lasting change. We also recognize the important linkages between healthy ecosystems and human well being, so we work with local partners on culturally appropriate conservation approaches that sustain traditional livelihoods and fuel regional prosperity. Some of our partners with whom we work to deliver integrated results like these include Primate Expertise (PEx); Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC); Eastern Pacific Hawksbill Initiative (ICAPO); and ProCosta. And, we are proud to have a Wild Earth Allies team working directly on the ground in Cambodia, reflective of our long-time commitment there.
Wild Earth Allies saw the new GuideStar and Charity Navigator partnership as an exciting opportunity to be more transparent about our work, and to demonstrate our commitment to measuring progress and results. We are enthusiastic about the Platinum Seal of Transparency because we want to provide everyone that is part of our work with the information they want. This includes a range of financial metrics and data from the field, as well as our process and improvement year by year.
For Wild Earth Allies, conservation success is fueled by a powerful combination of: clearly identified threats, an integrated mitigation plan, targeted financing, talented field staff, and active local partners. We invite you to follow our progress on GuideStar and Charity Navigator, and support our work here.
